Our family of six adults, two children and one pooch spent a week at Ford House and had an amazing time. The house sits between two pubs right in the centre of the village and was an ideal location for our visits to Cartmel Racecourse (2 mins walk).

Sarah-Jane

Very comfortable house right in the centre of Cartmel, perfectly located for fine dining and many pubs but with a fantastically well equipped kitchen for eating in at the dining table large enough to accommodate 10. Lovely bed linen and towels and a great garden too.

Henry

A lovely, well appointed house in a wonderful location surrounded by great pubs. Judy was an excellent host, the sticky toffee pudding gift was a nice touch. Our first time in the Lake District and it did not disappoint.

Fantastic stay in Cartmel with the family - plenty of space for 8 adults and two dogs. The house was centrally located with some lovely pubs, restaurants, shops and long walks on the doorstep. The house was set up with everything we needed and all the added extras we hadn’t thought about!

We spent a lovely week at Ford House with family to celebrate our son's first birthday. The house is excellent with all the facilities you need for a large group: the kitchen is especially well equipped. The house is perfectly situated in the central square of Cartmel so you don’t need to walk too far for a refreshment.

Anna

A wonderful property in a beautiful, easily accessible village, only a 5-min taxi ride from Grange-over-Sands railway station. Full of charm and character, a picture postcard Lakeland house. The kitchen is great, with everything needed for even the biggest gathering.

We had an idyllic weekend at Ford House. The house itself is simply stunning, Generously proportioned and thoughtfully laid out. It manages to be both spacious and yet cosy. An ideal base for any Lakeland break.

We had a fabulous Christmas at Ford House. It's comfortable, warm with all mod cons in a characterful setting and it has an amazingly well equipped kitchen. Cartmel is a lovely, friendly village with several pubs, restaurants and great shops. There are super country walks straight from the house.
